It just aired tonight. Dave Palumbo and John Romano had him on their Heavy Muscle radio show. Very good stuff:

Cool interview. Those guys have had several power lifters on there shows in recent months. Kroc was just on there and had some interesting stories about guarding the president as a marine, eddy coan was on there a few months ago... I wish all the supplement ads would go away though

just listened to it last night... they asked him about strongest man he says andy bolton and they're like "so a deadlift requires the most brute strength?" hes like "i wouldn't mouth off at this guy" lol

Yeah well apart from the fact that the deadlift is the lift with less carry over from gear, I think for someone like Louie and others who have been around powerlifting for so long seeing a 1k deadlift done twice was for a long time unimaginable. Kind of like a 600# clean and jerk or snatch for olympic weightlifters or an 800# raw bench for specialists. Actually on that note, to Rob, bencher8, Travis, vincent and the such, what would be the equivalent as far as a shirted bench? I mean a number you've seen yourself or others get close to but never quite budge?

thought the interview was thought-provoking for a Westside newbie like me...understand a little better what Lones keeps trying to drill into my head...especially on bands now.

Man, that was an incredible interview. I love Louie. I have been doing Westside for about 6 weeks now and you would not believe the strength I have gained. I was doing Western periodization before Westside and I just found it to be ineffective. One of the reasons was because you go through long periods of time where you are not handling heavy weights, and then when you have to handle heavy weights your brain freaks out. Your body has to handle heavy weights to become accustomed to it. I cannot wait to post some new PR's, Westside really does work.
