I have been reading lots of different things here and there, and some of what is being said is getting confusing. Wanted to see if I could get some clarification.

A little about me: 40yrs old, 6'0", 194lbs, Still have a spare tire, but it has gotten smaller, down from 36+" waist pants with it hanging over a bit, to 34"-"pants no hang over, but still a fair amount of fat there. Wish I had measured arms before summer started but currently 14" and chest is currently 44"

Here is what I have read:

For the average guy (beginner at lifting) body likely cannot effective digest and use more then about 40grams of protein at a time, and also for same type of person, needs to wait about 2 hours in between 40 gram hits of protein in order to not be waisting the protein.

I would say if your **** smells like sulfur you're eating too much protein and thus ****ting most of it out. if it doesn't smell like sulfur youre eating enough or too little, in which case you gotta figure that out. i eat upwards to 100g of protein in a meal. In the morning its usually about 40, lunch its 40-60 dinner is about 80-100, pre bed snack can be anywhere from 20g to 100g depending on how my body feels.

:evillaugh: I had never heard of the 'sulfur' test! That's great! haha. Yesterday someone gave me about 60g of mainly casein. No good on the sulfur front. I'll keep this test in mind. Its also a good way to retain family and loved ones--also a job.

It's sad they didn't start teaching basic nutrition in public school sooner.
