Hello I was hoping I could get some advice....I'm a 35 yr old male. I weigh 212lbs im 5'10". I have a bigger bone structure. I'm currently taking in 1500-1700 calories/day with 165 grams of protein. I', eating high protein low calorie foods. I workout for 45 min and do cardio 25 min 5 times a week. I'm looking to weigh 185 and have muscle tone. I'm taking CLA supplements, Carnitine, Chromium, Cider, multi vitamin and omega 3. My buddy says I'm not taking in enough calories or protein, I've been doing this for 19 days and lost 9 lbs. can anyone help me out

Looks ok to me.

Daily calorie intake is very individual but I think it's fair to say that 1500-1700 is pretty low and you could still lose significant weight at higher calories. 9lbs in 19 days is great, a bit on the fast side but not that fast. Be happy with 1-2lbs a week and you will still be able to achieve that with higher calories.

The problem with very low calorie diets is you normally end up not getting in adequate amounts of protein/good fats. I would be wanting to consume more than 165 grams protein and if you are eating high protein lowe calorie foods, theres a good chance you are not consuming enough fats which is crucual to overall health and weight loss.
