Ketosis is the point at which your body is deficient in carbohydrates, thus metabolizing fat stores into ketone bodies, these are used as the source of energy to fuel the body, its the basis behind ketogenic diets, 'cause if you go from sugar burning (carbohydrate metabolisis) to fat burning (lipid metabolisis) you should drop bodyfat faster.

In my own opinion, I think it's a great diet, especially a CKD. You get to eat all the greasy foods you want all week and then by Fri. when your body is craving carbs, then you get to eat all the carbs you want, during of which you are losing fat. Anybody against a keto diet? Just want to hear everybody's opinion.

I think keto is ace, although i know that ST is a firm hater of any type of low carb diet.
