Starting a new meal plan here and was curious about cleanses, I think it's something I would like to try. Anyone ever experienced a cleanse and have some advice on which one is best? Thanks!

From what I've read, they're a waste of money. A one day cleanse is not going to optimize your health. I would suggest eating a minimum of 25 grams of fiber every day. Aim for 35. Eat fruits, veggies and berries. Your body naturally cleanses itself when it's fed properly.

they work... its just that the right way takes time and patience. Be prepared for weight loss - muscle mass included. Get this book by Dr. Alejandro Junger called Clean. Its a big change, but it works.

I know, you asked about cleansing, not specifically detox, but there is so much overlap and the philosophy is rooted in the same fundamentals.

I will buy that book Virtron, because I've been hearing good and bad things and I like to see both sides, then make a decision. Also, I will definitely make sure I get that amount of fiber daily. Thanks for those websites Mercuryblade, I am checking those out as we speak. Thanks again everyone.

i agree with everyone who says eat more fiber. its good for u in so many ways. Just buy the shredded wheat, pour some chocolate syrup over it, and your GTG.

There are organs in your body that detox/cleanse for you, i.e. your liver, kidneys. If you just wanna get all the gunk out of your GI track then grab some fiber and let the good times roll.
