View Full Version : What to eat after 8 o clock at night???

Hey, I'm trying to cut up alittle bit. I have been on a bulk diet for about a year now. I have put on quite a few pounds, some positive and some neg. I wanna eat real healthy foods, but what after 8? I get really hungry after that, I know I shouldn't eat bad food right when I'm about to go to bed. Thanks for ur help.

It's a meal replacement shake. Be careful of carbs though - many MRPs have more carbs than I would recommend after 8:00 if you're trying to cut some fat. After 8:00 at night, I eat only meat/eggs and veggies while cutting. Last night for instance, I had a steak and spinach salad right before bed. Tonight I'll have egg whites and wheat bread at 8:00 and then salmon and broccoli at 11:00. You get the picture...

Do you adhere to that on lifting nights as well, cuz I know a lot of folks believe in taking a shitload of carbs after lifting no matter what time of night it is.

Well, I never lift too late so I don't have to worry about it. On weekdays, I eat my post workout meal at about 6:30, at which time I consume 100g of carbs. I'd never lift late at night for nutritional reasons.

Cottage Cheese!!!! By far the best before bed food you can eat. Low carbs, high protein and moderate fat.

Is 4 percent too much, cottage cheese? B4 I go to bed I will eat tuna cottage and whole wheat toast. Is that ok?

Personally, I stay away from milk and cottage cheese because these are high carb foods. 8oz of milk has 12-13g of carbs, and who the hell drinks only 8oz? If I'm trying tho get ripped, I stick to meat, eggs, and greens before bed.

I eat lowfat cottage cheese and the whole thing only has 9g of carbs. Compared to I think 15g fat and I think 30+ g of protein that is pretty good. Even my protein shake has 3 grams of carbs per 22g of protein

I wouldn't touch the toast before bed though

I wouldn't see them as a problem. Especially if your gonna bulk.

Milk will turn the most ripped genetically gifted mofo into a fat, bloated piece of crap overnight. So if you want to be a worthless beached whale who everyone hates, drink your milk. Just kidding, you might not be worthless.
