got this routine from hulk and i think hes got it from chris.

Monday: LEGS

Squats : 2 light warm ups followed by 1 x 20 rep (very hard breathing set)

Leg press: 1 x 10 to failure

Leg Extensions: 1 x 10 to failure

Leg Curls: 1 x 10 to failure

Standing Calve Raises: 2 x 20 to failure

wednesday: PUSH

Bench Press: 2 x light warm ups

1 x 4/6 to failure plus 2 forced reps.
1 x 10 to failure

Dips 2 x 10 to failure

French press 2 x 8 to failure

friday : PULL

Deadlifts: 2 x light warm ups

1 x 4-6
1 x 10

Chins : 2 sets to failure.

T Bar Rows: 2 warm up sets

1 x 6 plus one forced rep

1 x 8/10 to failure

pulldowns to the chest with v shaped grip: 1 x 10 to failure

Standing straight bar curls: 2 warmups

1 x 6 plus two forced reps

1 x 10 to failure

Standing hammer curls: 1 x 8 to failure

2 x 10 weighted crunches
2 x 10 leg raises


meal 1 454 kcals
40 grams of oats with just wetting milk
3 full eggs
3 egg whites
multivitamin with 100 % RDA for all
1 gram of vitamin C

I just realised im too skinny to be cutting and need to focus on mass. so ill up my kcals again.

Hey reinier, What is your bodyfat right now and why are you now bulking again. I think you may feel better if you cut for a while more to get the bodyfat down. I realize you will be skinny, but really i think you might feel better. Then start slowly bulking. Dont get me wrong I am as pro bulk as you get but from the sound of some of your posts it seems like you would benefit from getting to a lower bodyfat, then bulking up from their.

yesterday i did like half of the friday as i explained earlier.
I like the v shape pulldown thing a lot.
I started much too low so i had done like 5 sets by the time i found out what the right weight just about was.
last set was 55 kigs 10 reps.

straight bar curls was only like 35 k 6 reps

hammers 10 ks 7 reps

ab work well not sure how to really measure.

breathing smith squats 125 lbs 20 reps (PR)

felt i could have done more in a way tho. had only 1 breathing stop, after the 14th rep, but after i failed the second time i was`t really feelin it no mo. i felt a bit stupid about it tho cuz well if otherwise they would cut off my package and feed it to a hog, i may had been able to do another one. and that means it was a failure set.
I did these wearing only socks on my feet, i thought if people take the effort to buy shoes with the flattest soles for squatting, the flattest sole i can think of is the floor. i find it hard to squat on a smith without the knees going forward, which i have always heard is a form mistake.

Leg Press 110 kgs 19 reps :D :cool:

I dont get this at all. last week after my squats leg pressing i got 100 k for 13 reps. anyway up the weight next time again cuz my routine 10 reps here.

Leg curls 110 lbs 11 reps

this was the first time i payd attention to completing the real full rom on these, i used to only do that for the last few reps.
i think this exercise is gay tho. SLDLs tempt me

Calf raises

these were a bit disappointing ive done better. but the leg press and squat were good improvement and thats of course main.

I weighed 85.7 k btw

You really only need more protein daily. That part is kind of easy with whey and mrps (depends on your budget).

On another note, although you are a cool cat, you make me sick because aren't you around 6'4 and about 17 yrs old. That alone was what started me to work out in the first place. I stand about 5'9 and I stay lean year around but find it hard to bulk or get truly massive.

You have lots and lots of time on your side.

I`m 6"4 and 16.

I actually have been told by several people on this board who i trust that i dont even need all the protein i eat.
I`m on like 292 grams on training days and 275 on non training days or so.

plenty imo.

I still dont quite see what my and your height has to do with it. Imo its harder when your tall cuz an arm like mine (a 6"4 knuckle dragger`s) would have to be much bigger to look good than for instance yours and its the same with all my muscles since i simply have a bigass frame

I'd take your body to work with anyday but I have to do the best I can with mine.

Yes you do have more to fill out and believe it or not, it is going to happen. I have seen seniors come from high school all innocent and young and so on. Then they suddenly blossom because it is the time for them and they worked more than the average student.

Keep doing your workouts, keep the protein going (at least 225grams). The reason you should be so hopeful is that your results have the chance to show almost miraculously - naturally. Like I said before you make me sick. I say this for all teenagers, and I mean ALL too.

Are you able to take the assistance machine completely out of the exercise? With the one at my gym, I can put a 25lb plate on the knee pad and it will force it down to the floor so that It doesn't come into play. Just a thought.

I dont think i can put the assistance machine out of play because it is quite narrow and wouldn`t fit me in if i were to lift my legs up (its a cage like thing)

my gym is just gay and needs to get a free dip thing and a squat rack and a power rack.
Also it needs to get some more plates. we have 2 sets, one in kgs one in lbs.

unless you mix them up and do a shitload of math you cant load over 250/300 lbs or so.

Also the dumbs go up to 38 kgs :mad: , but the 32s,34s,36s,38s are held in the back cuz nobody ever uses them anyway :cry: but this one johnny bravo dude with big arms but no legs who has from what I heard injured himself squatting when he was younger so he cant train legs anymore.

Yep, I know the feeling. My previous gym had DB up to 40 lbs (not kgs), no free plates, some machines and preset bb up to 85lbs. It was more of an aerobic gym. I used the shoulder press for a squat press. My goal was to out grow it fast so that I had to change gyms. It's soul attractions was that it was in my office and I could go to it anytime I could fit it in my schedule. It was enough to get me hooked.

ive rarely felt so sick and fucked up after legs. my vision was even bad and i was limping and got a bit of a headache people must have stared at me as they did their 10 lbs leg abductions....

i almost fell asleep setting the leg curl machine right.... I actually got like almost 7 hours or something of sleep tho.... i need like 10 i guess.

i kno. i guess i have bad start strength- i always find the lowest few inches the hardest in the deadlift. up there its decently easy.

my diet hasn`t been perfect this weekend but i didn`t eat any "evil" foods. bbut i was on the road for longer than expected and ate a little too little and just drank a carton of milk at one time for some p

im gonna go the other gym i was considering and take measure of how much freedom ill get if i join. bad day scenerio i can come in once a week and do a gay group lesson thing where they tell you how much weight to do on the concentration curl machine, good day i get total freedom.

also from what i heard, another gym, the Warrens gives you 50% off if you book for a full year. of course they make bitch profits as most newbies leave again after a while bbut maybe its for me. they are very controlling freaks there tho. probably want me to do this and this and blablabalbala **** em. ill check both out anyway

Ya the initial pull off the floor is one of the hardest parts of the DL. It will come with time!! Maybe try stopping for .5seconds at the bottom of your 10 rep set? Or dont go all out with the 10 reps, just hit a couple and then throw some more weight on the bar?

Well, you are progressing on your deadlifts, so you are not systemically overtrained. So, it looks like you do 2 sets of presses (dumbbells?) followed by 2 sets of bodyweight dips. Is that correct? How often do you train chest? It is hard to day what is going wrong, your volume certainly doesn't look excessive, although that could be the case. My first recommendation would be for you to increase your caloric intake. At your age, calories can be a huge limiting factor. Bump them significantly and see what happens.

It looks like you have been doing this routine since late April - 6-7 weeks if my calculations are correct and it's been in the last two weeks that the weights have started to decline. Maybe try a different set of exercises for chest / tri day for a few weeks. Your routine stated calls for a set of low reps (4-6) then followed by a set of higher reps (8-10). Maybe try two sets of one or the other.

Chris-
If Reinier increased his calories a good deal, would you also suggest that he increase his volume for chest? Maybe with the increase in calories, Reinier could handle an increase in volume for this muscle group to give it a boost.

Just some thoughts.

leg workout sucked sloppy donkey phallus.
135x10 squat.... 6 reps less than last week.
leg press was ok...
leg xes felt a bit iffy on the left knee, but were ok...

was Waaaaay hot here.... 35 degrees.... no wind, really damn moist. the airco at the gym didn`t have the power by far. I was sweating like a pig when I STARTED the squats...

thats one suspect reason... another is that I went partying the weekend and danced my mofoing ass off and drank quite a bit... usually dont make noone stronger.

something else is that the smith i have to squat on didn`t seem oiled, or something. it just felt heavier than the 135 i did last week

Today sucks so much sloppy donkey wang you wouldn`t believe.
I had a phys test today... now im a phys wiz I often score perfect marks in phys, english is my third lang, my school programme isn`t focused on english but on science.... and this test was about ******* F1 x R1 + F2 x R2 = 0 formula and its appliances. easy as bunk. still i studied my ass off cuz i need ill marks to make it to next year this week.

So I knew this **** so so well....

Last phys test, I had all the answers right, and was done before time but I didn`t properly write down all my calculations :rolleyes: so he gave me a 5.5 which is something like a fooking D-.

So this time, I wrote EVERYTHING down perfectly.

guess what, the bell rang when I was just over half way. I`m so pissed you wouldn`t believe.

Then i found out that in a hurry to make it to the bus as my ******* alarm clock broke down and i was late i forgot to fully bring all my packed meals and i had to eat some crap here in school :mad:

I needed to hand in a history essay today (so i thought) so i was stressing out at these 150 mhz pieces of crap in the library to get it done and then I hear the deadline is npot till friday.
My workout partner had left as i told him I couldn`t come train with him then.

then i went to the gym... for a push day. I was like today sucks, but im going to make it right and have a good push day again....

For leg day you are doing sets with anywhere from 13 to 30 reps and on back day you are in the 8-12 range. Yet you complain about having lagging strength.

You've been here long enough I think to know that this is not the ideal manner in which to improve strength.

I set the pins for racking the bar just under shoulder height. I also have support bars in the cage set a foot below where the bar would be when I get all the way down in my squat position.

I had some time stress and had to skip my push day on wednesday and so today on pull I just put some benching in to make up a bit.

270.1 lbs 122.5 kilogram 3 reps I could have gotten 4 or 5 im sure... but I used some collars that slided easily and since i never fail to hold it straight usually i thought it would be no problem but as i pulled it off I was somewhat asymnetrical and one side slided off a bit and the whole set just didn`t feel right. I had been messing to get the weights right for a while and was already sweating before i started and did several attempts before it came off (my pulloff is still the weakest part of rom)
Also it was way hot in the gym and i didn`t like it

my left wrist bothered me a little on these. Ive had a thread on my left wrist in health once its kinda sore at times at both ends of its "rom" it was totally gone for a while but has been back since this morning. its not a training caused injury ive always had it time to time and it felt the same before and after this training session. Benching is the only exercise i feel it in. I dont think i could have gotten more reps or weight without it but its still annoying. the feeling was back since pretty much this morning.

i put a wide stance, kept my chin up, held my back straight/arched, kept the ccog over the middle of the foot while still pushing mainly through the heels...

Today was the first day of school. I`m getting SO tired of all the teen insecurity around. All the hopeless bashing of people by people who dont like themselves, all the worry of how the other kids who worry perceive them. **** like when at a party somebody goes and sits by himself alone but just in such a way that people can see that "somethings wrong" and somebody comes to sit with them so they are like "close" with them.
I`m tired of that. I`m tired of people giving in to peer pressure and people following the pack. BAH

Am I so mature then? no. but thats just why im so extra fokking tired of it. I was on the bus with my headphones on and this kinda corny over the top rock ballad was on the radio and I just changed the station without really thinking about it and thinking about it it was just more BS that i didn`t want people to hear me listen to it. I thought BAH and changed it back and put it extra loud.... I hope i can be truely through with this crap

I gained 0.55555 kilograms a week average during this time...

when i was 86.5 kilos, my waist measured 87 cm.
now it measures 94 cm.
so i gained 13.5 kilograms, and my waist grew 7 cm.
is that good>?

I got in a debate with my gym owner who claimed you can change the size and shape of certain parts of the skeleton through training and of course I owned him :D

I took a pic of Dorian lying around and drew his skeleton into him, explained where they insertion points would be and therefor the bones and it was very clear.

He couldn`t grasp it lol. its strange, the guy is very ignorant of training and so is his brother, yet his brother is 140 k kinda lean, about 170 cm tall, and he is 100 k same height and used to be 118. ultimate proof size doesn`t make knowledge i guess.

quad stand up straight, arm by my body. put line on quad where wrist touches quad.
measure across this line, perpendicular to the femur while flexing the quadriceps.

calf
flex calf, measure largest point perpendicular to shin bone

waist
stand straight up, breath half in, flex abs measure horizontally across the belly button. not pulling the tape tight enough to change the shape of the skin

chest
put tape horizontal across nipples, spread lats, breathe in, pull tape slightly tighter to reduce the effect of the gyno i have on this measurement.

arm
perpendicular to humerus, bicep flexed, largest point, not pumped.

forearm
muscles flexed but wrist straight. largest point. near elbow. perpendicular to ulna

i described exactly how i measured them.
i know my waist is somewhat big, but im not gonna cut yet. i tried to cut before i had much mass before and i just ended up losing some mass and some fat and only changing my bf% a little.
I suppose i now have enough mass to cut more succesfully but i want some more size first

1 I`m not half big yet

2 Since when are men supposed to be elegant. I was never elegant. I wear shoe size 15 and have a funny walk. screw elegance

3 I will never fit my body to clothes. I always reckoned it was meant the other way around

4 an obsession is something that occupies the mind without a rational reason. by this definition i suppose i am obsessed.
But why am i not allowed to be obsessed?
I`m not hooked, I keep doing this because it is constructive and enjoyable. if there comes a time that i cant do it, then so be it, i will concentrate on another sport that demands less everyday hassle.

5* this is just a model of theirs to scare me. things like youd go on a date but you cancel cuz they dont sell bb compatible food in the place. I have often compromised my diet and training goals for social events before and will continue to do so. because i bb to make me happy and for no other reason.

6* Well, people do mock me in school about what i eat. but its bs, cuz often those same people who mock me for what foods i bring ask if they can have some. I dont really care if i get mocked by people in HS especially not when they are my friends... never really bothered me

7*WBBs place in all this is limited to a source of information and a place where everybody does this so it seems normal.
Ive never been called out for anything i did on here, only encouraged when i did something good for bb.

Just don't stop being social and letting yourself enjoy things because of believing you have to adhere so strictly to a BB diet. Have fun. Your young. Enjoy life!

Got back from family yesterday... went to visit my gran, aunt, uncle, cousin and nephew. They live almost on the same street so its 1 destination.

this girl who is a close friend, has been for like 4 years wasn`t returning my calls and she didn`t reply to an sms and an email and i thought i was very weird and i was very worried if i did something wrong...
Then i called a girlfriend of hers and asked what was up and she sayd there was something very wrong with her mother (she has been fighting cancer for years:() and thats probably why shes not talking to anybody now and this will be her mothers last new years eve.

Just now she came on msn and told me she had tried to call me yesterday but the line was busy.
I asked about her mom and she sayd nothing was all that bad and she wondered where her friend pulled that from. She actually mentioned who told her, so i sayd she heard from him and it turned out the guy was in the room with her and she was just like oh.......

I think its true, sad as it is, and she wont talk to me about it.
I feel sorry for all the members of her family and her and i feel a bit sorry and powerless that she wont talk to me about it...
I`m going over to her friends place (the one i called) for new years eve.

In a few hours ill go and train and go by a friend to pick up a cd.
"Panjabi MC" Hindu influenced versions of hip hop and dance tunes :)

new years eve....
21:30 over at this girls house, drank a bunch of glasses of white wine, played a game with these people and watched the cabaret show on tv
12:00 champagne, wishes, watching fireworks, more champagne
01:00 other guests drop in. more champagne, wishes, talking, some fireworks.
02:30 off to the docks where there are some pubs and clubs and loads of people. Everybody was there. Saw loads of other friends. the clubs are really damn crowded and a few of us go in there the others go to this old bar where most people are like 35, but we were with a big group so it was cool.
Loads of beer and loud music.
06:00 back to her home with her another girl and me. others go to their homes. we were 1 bike short so this guy RAN the whole 2 miles or so back home at this time in boots after drinking a lot.
hes mad :confused:
Finished off remaining champagne and snacks
6:30 i go to sleep in her sisters double bed who was not home :)
the others stayed down for a bit and talked some more :confused: they are mad.

****.... this is the longest ive ever gone without a proper meal and a sitdown :D

Happy New Year Reinier;).

I remember fondly one Xmas/New Year I was in Holland 5yrs ago.....its the only time EVER I have experienced a white Xmas....

Brought back memories reading your post...I especially loved my mode of transport...ma bike....couldnt do without it :angel:
