Eat it raw, sear it - if you mean tuna in a can? Put it in spaghetti sauce, squeeze lemon on it, put balsamic vinegar on it.

Make sure you wash it properly so its bone dry - not much taste will be left - then have it with mayo/natural yoghurt.

Try it mixed with a little fat free salad dressing. It ain't magic, but it helps.

Mix it with rice (white or brown) and put a tiny bit of tariyaki sauce on top.

Tried it tonight with barbecue sauce on stoneground wheat toast, it was killer. I even made a little sandwich for my 14 month old. He liked it too, lol.

Just for the heck of it tonight i bought a can containing a tuna filet packed in water. I covered it with sugar free frozen strawberries and whipped cream. Sort of a strawberry short tuna i suppose. It wasnt the best thing id ever eaten but was better than expected. Tomorrow morning i will try grits and tuna cooked together.

Just add Mayo, HB'd egg, chopped onions and chopped peppers(I use Jalepeno) and maybe some cheese. Go light on the onions and peppers and it is a perfect CKD meal or Atkins meal. It is also good for pretty much any diet. If you go fat free on the Mayo you could also throw it on some whole wheat toast and grill it like a grilled cheese. It's the sh+t man, really

To make it taste better???dont eat food for 48 hours and eat tuna the first thing then, you will find tuna the tastiest food you can ever get.
Jokes apart,
I eat tuna right off the can. I dont waste my time improvising that s**t and to achieve the unachivable.
When I eat tuna I try to get my mind away from the thought of eating tuna. I would imagine something like I am in a bath tub flexing my muscles with 3 nude models around caressing my hard earned muscles. Try this trick, its easier than you think.

Good luck.

I found this Tuna in a pouch, you don't have to drain the water and it's got more protein.. I think it tastes better too. You guys should try it.

Tru, what's that tuna in a pouch called? And is it more expensive than canned, and does it have any carbs or fats in it?

04-27-2002, 03:55 PM

It's about the same price..

I can't think of the name now..

Chicken of the sea albacore 7.1 ounces for 2 bux at wally mart. Kinda dry though. But i like it a lot, seems like a different species than the albacore in the can. More like, i hate to say it, chicken.
