WoooHooo I broke 400 pounds on my bench at the AAPF/APF meet in Idaho Falls today. I got meet PRs on all three lifts too. I'm kind of kicking myself for not going a lot higher on my 3rd squat ( I was kind of lacking confidence with squatting since I've been squatting alone lately and haven't been going up high enough in training ), but other than that I couldn't have asked for a better meet. I'll post videos soon, but the meet went like this

Squat: 425, 470, 490 (15 pound meet pr)
Bench: 350, 380, 402 (about 20 pound meet and gym pr)
Dead: 470, 507, 535 (5 pound meet pr)

Oh yeah, there was a guy from the local CBS channel there. After the meet he asked me what I did for a living and where I live, he said I'm going to be on the news along with some of the other lifters. Pretty cool.

Great job, those are some good numbers.

Vids or it didn't happen. ;)

Good job. Definitely should have went higher on that last squat, but way to set PR's.

Congrats Ox! PR's straight across the board is almost as awesome as being on boat eating red vines and drinking Mr. Pibb!

Thanks everybody. The longer I think about my performance at the meet, the more happy I am about it.

now go to work on 500!

That's right! A 1500+ total, a 600+ deadlift, and 500+ bench. My three current goals ( from short term to long term ).

I know. That third squat SHOULD have been my opener. Oh well, live and learn ( learn to not doubt myself that is ).

hello paul senior

Ha Ha, but thanks! It really isn't lopsided like it looks in the video, it's the lighting. I should have posted a video before I trimmed it up.

Hey congrats on the lifts man. Like they said, on to 500 bench now. Work on your technique - arch, tucking elbows, squeezing shoulder blades, etc and you'll be surprised how far that will take you. I know you've put alot of work into your technique lately and it's paid off man.

That is god damn impressive. Thats a lot ov weight to move for anyone, even if a guy is 400lbs and built like King Kong Bundy, a 400lb bench is cool, but with your build...??? Think about the amount ov extra work you have to do to lock that out than i do at 5'10" or a 5'4" guy. You're probably one ov the strongest 400lb benchers out there.

Thanks. I'm probably the biggest 400 pound bencher, lol. But, at least I'm now a 400 pound bencher! I'm very excited about it! Hopefully eventually I'll be a 600 pound deadlifter too.
