Starts with a clean and jerk of 165. Don't know the exact weight progression for the front squats but it ends with 285 then I fail 295. 20lb PR!!

Nice jerk man!

Thanks, but it was pretty light weight... I slow down tremendously with bigger numbers because I'm still working my way back to where I was. Been out of the loop for a few months. :clown:

I'm surprised you missed the 295 with the speed 285 came up with. Nice work.

Why, oh why, does such a nice facility have a mirror in front of the platform?

Haha... my place used to have one and I just turned around. My coach used to make us do various challenges every now and then... no chalk once, no shoes another time, etc... The weirdest thing we did was line up diagonally on the platform to lift. That is worse than mirrors.

Mixture of fatigue and I let the bar slip too far forward/ended up bending forward.. didn't want to try again. :evillaugh:

My only guess is the mirrors are to attract newcomers... I never really thought about them, never asked the owner. Most outsiders probably expect mirrors in a gym! :drooling:

Thanks all, I've done a loooot of practice with depth, back angle/tightness, and testing of my flexibility to get my squat just right for me. Watching video upon video of squatting/olympic lifts has helped tremendously as well.
