Hey guys decide to start a log to record my progress, any help or comments would be nice. Thank you.

DL - 3x5x160lbs

BP - 4x5x115lbs

Squat - 3x7x110lbs

Power Cleans - 5x100lbs

DB Curls - 5x25lbs

October 27/09

Weighed myself today, 179lbs.

I was 165lbs before I started my bulk.

BP - 4x5x120lbs
DL - 3x5x170lbs
SQ - 3x5x115lbs
DB Curls - 3x5x25lbs

My goals are to get 200 straight across the board, 200lbs BP, 200lbs squat, and weigh 200lbs.

Nov. 1/09

Went to the gym this morning with no food in me and hung over, probably not the best idea.

BP - 5x100lbs
BP - 3x5x130lbs
SQ - 5x100lbs
SQ - 3x5x120lbs
DL - 5x190lbs
DC - 10x25lbs

Decide to do 5 reps of lighter weights on my squats and bench for warmups.

Props on bulking up and gaining about 15lbs thus far, that's great and just for starters.

Nov. 3/2009


Went to the gym today with my girlfriend and didnt have such a good work out. Maxed out at 135lbs on my bench, and couldnt even seem to bench 120lbs afterwards. Felt tired and lazy, probably getting the flu I guess.


BP - 5x100lbs
BP - 2x4x135lbs
BP - 4x120lbs
SQ - 3x5x125lbs
DL - 5x200lbs
DC - 10x25lbs
PC - 3x90lbs

Somewhat of a wierd workout, hope I ll feel better when I hit the gym on thursday, also time to deload again.

Im hoping by xmas time I will be hitting a weight of 200lbs, and starting on cutting in the new year. Luckily I seem to have no trouble gaining or losing weight. Now if only lifting more weight could come that easy, lol.

Im still a newbie to weightlifting, but I love it all the same. My girlfriend also works out with me usually 3 times a week. The new job I juss got has a full gym that no one uses, so basically me and my gf has the gym to ourselves any hour of any day. Which is great!

yeah defintly true, moving now and working and alot of overtime, but I have to find a way to stay comitted and meet my goals.

Thanks man. Over the holidays my gym will be off limits for about 2-3 weeks. I will be limited to my bench press at home, with not enough room to do squats, any suggestions here for a sub?

Also on normal cheapy whey protein at the moment any suggestions on what kind I should get next?

Finally got to the gym today, got too much on the go right now, and probably wont be able to get back into an organized schedule until the new year which really sucks.


First time in the gym in probably a week and a half, felt pretty good though. Also focusing on my cardio 4 days a week.

Wow so its been a while since I hit the weight room. Going to start again this week, picked up a couple of books over the holidays to answer some of my questions.

Weighed today at 186lbs. Im going to hit the gym easy for the first week and then resume starting strength next week.

That's the way to be doing it dude, especially since you are getting close to 200lbs bodyweight right now.
