Hopefully I'll be able to get 315 soon :)

Anyone have any comments on my form, etc... I showed this to my friend and he says I need to work on leg drive and acceleration. I'm using the "legs tucked on toes" form

Thanks guys. I made it my goal to get 315 by the end of the year... I didn't really think I was gonna get there at the time but I got a real shot at it now

I think you may be capable of 315 now, work on using your whole body to drive the weight.
Your legs ass and back should be really tight and supporting the weight.
I think about squatting the weight up which sounds funny but does help me.
For me the set up and staying tight is more tiring than the press itself.
After a big bench day your lower body and back will often feel sore.

Good luck 315 is right there!

Nice controlled bench. You have 315 now if you put your mind to it, nice PR bench.

Congrats, nice job. 300 was the biggest mental block I've had with lifting yet. I failed on it so many damn times, and then one day I hit 325. It felt great to finally get a 300lb bench.

Nice work hero... Keep it up!

What weight can do you say 12 reps at? Just curious? How many sets like that?

Cheers,
Andrew

Just curious, do these one rep bench presses actually do anything weight lifting wise? Or is it just to see how much weight you can do? When people ask me how much I can bench I say the weight that I can do 10 reps at. Nice job by the way.

Very nice. I recently hit 200 and I cant wait till I can get 300. It is my ultimate goal to bench double my body weight (5'9" 160)

Rudso, if you are training by persentages of max it is important to know what that max is. Some test max in 2 rep or more range and use a formula to get your max.
If someone asks you how much you bench, 99% of the time they mean 1 rep max.

I also think that every once in a while pushing the heavy weight is beneficial if for nothing more then to get your brain to realise that its not that heavy.

OGROK, you have 315 soon no problem! Keep it up. it's all in the head.

No bench pressing a heavy PR weight does nothing to your muscle fibers.
