Hello, I posted almost 2 weeks ago wanting to start my first cut in a while. I have been on a strict diet and going to the gym persistently. I have a few before and after pics. It's only been about 2 weeks but I see a few changes. Getting a bit more toned and stomach/love handels have went down a bit. Going to continue going to the gym regularly

Here are the before and after;
Oct 15th.

I'm not saying its a huge change, but I can see the difference and feel happy about it

Christ that's a huge difference for such a short time, good work. How much weight have you lost?

Can you provide details on the diet changes you made?

Thank you :)

Well I started off at first REALLY watching my calorie intake and such, but I got a little carried away with it, and was eating too little. My calorie intake was 1200-1500, I bumped it up to 2000 calories a day. And Ive been sticking to chicken, fish, oatmeal, lots of veggies, eggs, and whole wheat toast. And for drinks mainly lots of water or soymilk (lactose intolerant), or sometimes gatorade... a Diet Coke every now and then when im feeling like a soda. I have not been counting my carb intake but I have been keeping it pretty low. Been hitting the gym 6 days a week after work and giving myself a full day of rest on Mondays

Honestly im not exactly sure how much weight I lost. I dont have a personal scale and the scales at the gym are not accurate at all, its always going up and down and theyre old. I'm guessing a good 5-10 pounds of pure body fat I'd say? Again Im not too sure sorry

Not trying to rain on your parade but...

10lbs of fat in 2 weeks is pretty much impossible. 5 lbs..maybe...

1lb of fat is 3500 cals. So to lose 2 lbs a week thats 7000 calories under maintenance.

You may have lost 5-10lbs in two weeks, but the majority of that will be water.

Good job at losing the weight.

A drop of water weight can easily be the difference in the pictures. I can take before and after photos from abs to bloated fatty with maybe an 8 hour difference if I eat the wrong stuff. Like Machaf said, 10lbs of fat in 2 weeks in near impossible and even 5lbs is. That being said, keep up the good work and keep at it.

Have you thought of bulking? I never saw the point in cutting when you don't have any muscle to show after a cut.

Sorry, I wasnt talking about how much I lost in weight over the past 2 weeks. I meant from the point Ive been going to the gym regularly over the past 4-6 weeks. Yeah Im sure if I lost 10 pounds in weight over 2 weeks it would definately be water lol. Like i said though im not even sure how much I lost, I dont use a scale.

Yeah Unreal, I just wanted to get rid of a bit of flab first, then I'm going to start bulking

Thank you all for the comments

I'm not particularly well educated in this stuff, but would it have made more sense to bulk, gain the quality muscle, and then cut? Because, when you bulk, you're liable to pick up some fat along with it.
