Thought I would share my lift yesterday with you all. My first time pulling 5pps and it was in the company of CManuel and Painzer who joined me at my place for a kick ass session. We all scored some pretty great PRs and I'm sure we are all pretty DOMS'd today, lol, I know I am.

This pull was a 15 lb PR and quite a battle. A very long-term goal of mine. Something I've been wanting for over 2 years and just never got to it. The lift was done in a singlet, chucks, belt and chalk only. I felt it bust my form apart right around my knees but I just held on and tried to pull it out of a nose-dive. I guess I got it. Enjoy.

Congrats!

It seems that you lose your form early on by lifting your hips up before you really start to engage the pull, resulting in your lower back rounding quite a bit.

Right at 0:28 sec.

your back rounds and i can't see your chest out, but an incredible lift nontheless.

495/160=3.1
it's a shame we can't all have perfect form at 3 times our bodyweight

There is no need to nitpick form on a max effort lift when the lifter is very aware of said form issues. Incredible lift, awesome effort, and way to pull despite busting form. Nothing but kudos!

If I have one rule, is that I never try to critique and correct guys that are stronger than me.

I don't get why people always have to turn this kind of thread into "form not being perfect enough"
If I wanted to lift with perfect form, I probably would stay with 315. Kiaran clearly knows his back was rounding, not really a big deal. Importantly, he didn't ask for any advice so people should really keep opinions to themselves until they were asked to speak their mind.

Great lift BTW.

Congrats on the PR Kieran...great effort! There is probably no better feeling in lifting than adding another full plate to the bar!

Simply awesome man. A 3x bw deadlift is an epic milestone which I am still chasing.

The deadlift seems like a lift in which form varys from person to person. Obviously what you are doing is working for you. 3x body weight is insane. Good job. I hope to be there some day.

I think you are blowing things out of proportion. We are just mentioning things that we notice, that is all. These are not aimed to be negative.

thats a SUPER strong pull, max efforts lifts rarely ever have perfect form dude so no worries i look the same with a max pull.

I think the critiques on the form are with good intent and just trying to help Kiaran get stronger. That being said, he didn't ask for a form critique here, he just wanted to display his new PR. 3 times bodyweight is amazing. Great job. I believe most people know that when they post a video, critiques will come. They weren't malicious, or knocking the lifter in this case, but we don't need any further ones either.

Definately impressive as hell for 165 lbs.!!!

I don't think shutupandsquat was trying to do anything but help. I used to have a tendency to point form errors out too, but I don't do that anymore, because people could take it the wrong way.

sorry but i don't understand what's the point. Probably i expressed myself in not an ideal way. What i said was: congrats for the lift but your form wasn't strict. I never said this wasn't impressive or that he sucks, or whatever.
When i judge myself i'm even more severe.

next time i'll try to post something more popular.
