Just got back, a few highlights. Forgive me if I forget some because I wasnt there for the entire event.

Gillespie got 755 (thanks RyanO) for the all time over 50 record

Magnum pulled 705 at 181

Cluster of 705's at 220 with a Finn coming out on top.

Many 700 benches.

Meeker does a very easy 900 and misses 1003 twice, but very close.

Yes I did win the open 242, I needed 716 on a second to wrap it up and nailed it, I skipped my third as I was emotionally drained and lifting with a cracked rib. My mom would have been proud, that one was for my mom.

All in all a great meet as usual....

oh a couple more

Hollaway with an EASY 821 or was it 826 at 275?

A gent from Argentina I believe with a 804 I believe, at 308.

Great show Gus.

Gillespie got over 800 for the all time over 50 record

Bill got 755 on his 2nd attempt, missing 777 on his third. I had the record with a 749 from the UPA meet two weeks ago. I know he is capable of much better and hopefully I can give him some competition for the record again. Bill is a great lifter and person. Congrats

Thanks for the correction, I did know he won, just got the number wrong. Good job yourself brother. Anytime you can place top five in a WABDL worlds is a good show, everyone should attend one of compete to see just what 5-700 lifters in one venue can look like!

I cracked my rib before the show, it was actually the cartilage that hurt more than the ribs from what I can tell. I probably had it for two weeks but didnt get an xray until the week of the show. I wore my belt looser and as low as possible to help lessen the strain. As for how I did it? LOL I did it here in Vegas, shi t happens.

Magnum is only like 18 or 19 years old, you can see his vids on youtube or over on PLWATCH. His form is awesome, locks the bar out resting on his kneecaps or close to that point.
