I want to start using bands on my bench, squat, and deadlift but now sure what bands to start with. I will be getting EFS Bands but not sure if I should start with mini's or light bands. My main focus of band work will be with the bench 1st. Thanks for any help you guys have.

Start with the minis. You can use them doubled up for DE and ME bench, quad them for deadlifts, and even for some light accessory stuff. For squatting you're going to want to start with the light bands.

I'm not a bench guru by any means, but I would suggest the mini's. Working the bands is harder than it looks!

Minis are a good call. Looks like they are releasing some new deadlift and bench bands within the next week as well.

I started with average and without knowing much about bands. They're too strong to double them over a dumbbell as it would take 180lb dumbbells to weigh them down so what I do is choke them to each other, then wrap them around the bottom of the bench then to the bar.. I think it gives 90-110lbs at the top, but its hard to really tell. I don't reall care what it adds, the fact that it's adding constant resistance making it harder causing more fibers to fire is what I'm looking for.

I love them for box squats and deads too..

One of these days I'm going to suck it up and get a bandpack

I just saw this in Tate's log too. You might want to wait to buy them until you see about these.

For bench you will most likely only need minis or monster minis. I have had training partners use doubled green(average) bands for board work...but they were 600-800+ lb benchers.

See if you youre gym let's you use chains. Everything I've read indicates one should first use chains for accomodating resistance before bands. I use bands, but my gym didn't let me use my chains when I had to stop lifting at home.

Start w/ mini's or M. mini's for bench... Adds 25 & 40lbs. respectively.

if your pressing 365lb, you should pick up the monster mini's and light bands. as you progress, you can use both the monster mini + light band at the same time before spending money on average bands.

Mini's, but if you hold off a few days I can tell you how the EFS short bands are. Dave is sending me out a set to test.

Yeah I would like to hear what you think Vin my G/f said that if I wanted she would get me the EFS Pro Band Pack witch comes with:
(2) Strong, (2) Average, (2) Light, and (2) Mini Bands with each order.

I just got that recently. The bands are extremely useful for accessory work I've found as well. But I mostly use the mini's for speed bench and the lights for squats/box squats.
