How long do you usually go between meets? 8,10,12 week training cycles or until you make a certain lb jump? And what type of lifter r you, raw, single ply, or unlimited? Just curious. thank you

I lift both raw and equipped. I go between 12-16 weeks for a meet training cycle. I compete 2-3 times a year.

Tim I would guess at least 12-16 weeks at minimum. Unless you bombed, had a terrible meet and want redemption. You figure 12-16 weeks is enough time to heal from your last meet, get some training in/fix form issues and rest up for your upcoming meet. Thinking about jumping into another one soon? Like December? haha. Oh and I'm multi-ply just incase you didn't know.

I like a 20-25 week prep cycle now. When I was in gear I would do like 4 meets a year. 2 Full, and 2 bench only in between. All depends on how long it takes you to recover.

I'm a raw lift and I have been doing this for about a year and a half. I pretty much compete whenever I feel like it. I have lifted in 2 meets in a 3 week time span and 2 meets in a month time span before. I had no problems and I hit PRs at these meets. I havent competed since May this year and it is killing me. I need to go compete somewhere soon.
