My best competition BP is 501 lbs which I did in May of this year. Here is a little improvement from then. I did my warm-ups, then 405x3, 455x1, 485x1, 510x1, and 520x1.

510x1

Great lifting. With a liftoff, I'm sure you are good for more, since you wouldn't have to lock it out twice.

Very impressive! Looked like a fairly close grip Cyrus. I'm guessing you have a strong set of triceps and thick upper pecs.

Thanks a lot.

None of the above. I train with 4 sets of 7 and 4 sets of 3, alternating every other week. The sets of 7 are fairly heavy and it's more of a hypertrophy/strength workout. The sets of 3 are the power sets which are pretty heavy. When I am going at it hard I try to increase 5 lbs on the last set each week. With this workout I have been very consistent moving up weekly.

I don't have a training journal here, but I recently started to keep track of all my workouts here:

Good god that's a strong raw bench for any bodyweight, let alone 225. Fairly close grip too, very impressive.

Impressive lifting Bruh... Why do you train chest once a week as opposed to twice a week as most lifters do? Just curious... I appreciate your advice though.

Peace

As I've gotten older I went to benching once a week. I see better results with the extra rest. Once I got to a certain age I've notice that the more rest I get, the better the next workout is for me.

Do you do floor presses often?

I did floor presses once and that was it. It may work for some people, but I have a different approach.

Most lifters train like bodybuilders and are not training for raw strength. You can do a Westside style DE and ME but I doubt that the "most lifters" you are talking about do that, they probably have one session with lots of flies, pec-dec, cable stuff, triceps extensions, skull crushers etc
