4" is max legal for most any competition I can think of.

Yes, 4" all around max width and a max of 13mm thickness.

I saw that Beast from Bobs belts when I ordered my belt...... or you could do like the strongman and use a back support under your belt.......
+1 for bobs belts though, my belt came out awesome.....

4" is the widest that you can use for competition; but as others have mentioned Bob's Belts does offer a 5" belt.
You can also wear a soft belt (Rehband/Vulkan/Mueller) under your power belt for additional support in training, and these also keep your low back warm. They are not legal for powerlifting competition though.

Thanks, I would like to buy the beast but it is a little too expensive for me.
4" is all I need if that's max legal width.
