has anyone used this routine? I was thinking about going on it for a few months to see what kind of gains in size and mass I could make while also raising my big 3 maxes....and i was wondering what you all thought of this routine?

is it too intense? seems like those hypertrophy days would be a killer

I just started this routine yesterday. Seems like it will be fun to do both rep ranges every week.

Looks like it would be a good bodybuilding routine, but lacks as far as a powerlifting routine goes, but thats the price you pay for trying to do both. Obviously it won't be ideal for one.

Lifting relatively low rep ranges twice a week does NOT make a routine a strenghth or powerlifting one. You have to look at the overall program design as well as the program over several months rather than week to week. This is simply a program that uses two rep ranges to increase general muscularity and strength, it is not a powerlifting routine at all.

The people saying you 'work on both strengh and hypertrophy so neither is amazing' are talking crap. Just do the program and you'll be fine.

you'll want to start with the volume lower and staying 1-2 reps shy of failure for the first few weeks so your body can adjust to the increased frequency & volume. Then as you get less and less sore you can up the volume & intensity. Keep in mind this is not nessecarily the routine I recommend specifically for you. All the clients I work with get different variences of these sorts of routines, the one listed is just someone else's interpretation of my theories as an example, though they have done a nice job.
