I use doubled over hand grip. I vary my grip between thumb from the smooth and pinkies on the rings.

Yeah I heard of guys doing under hand grip and tearing their bi's! I think that is how Dorian tore his? Overhand thumb from the smooth seems comfy to me!

Usually overhand and anywhere from shoulder-width to bench grip. Sometimes I'll go underhand for a change of pace.

Back in the day (circa. 1978) Larry Pacifico wrote an article for Iron Man Magazine (Perry and Mable Raider from Alliance, NE) and discussed his bench press routine.

Larry set over 100 WR.

Larry thought bent rowing with a reverse grip was important as a supplemental exercise for benching.

When I do bent rows, I do a few sets with a regular grip and then a few sets with a reverse grip (not to be confused with the alternate grip used for deadlifting.)

I too do bent over row w/ a under-hand grip albeit not too heavy... Same w/ pull-up and pull-downs while really tensing and flexing the shoulder blades together at the bottom.

As with many other rear-delt, mid-upper back exercises, they really assist a lot w/ the BP.

I do overhand as well. I can't really even imagine doing the exercise with an underhand grip.

I dropped bent rows as they were screwing up my DL recovery. But if I was doing them I would Try doing them the same grip as your bench. I do all my lat work like that and I think it has a carryover.

I recently came to the same conclusion and changed to chest-supported rows instead.

I use an overhand grip with my pinkys on the rings.
