I haven't posted any videos here in a while so I thought I'd post this from this morning. This was my last set of the session this morning, ie I was pretty much spent, but I still got 315x6 (with boards). I know it's nothing all that special but when I first started powerlifting I couldn't have done this once for my main ME lift, and now I can do it for reps as accessory work after the main ME training. Anyway, here it is...

Some nice board pressing, how's the rest of your training going?

It's going good. My squat is consistently above 600 now, my deadlift seems to be going up again, and I think at a meet on a good day I could bench 425 with my loose katana.

That's good to hear, do you have any meets coming up?

Rumors say there is going to be one the beginning of April at the gym where I train.

Good work. You could still work on your form some. Your bench would go up even more as a result.

Thanks. Yeah, I realize my bench form isn't the best, but for what it's worth it is slowly getting better. It is something I'm working on. But it'd be interested in knowing exactly what you think needs the most work.

I was thinking the same thing... Ox's 3 board ROM is longer than my full ROM! Ox is probably one of the only people around that could use a six board for presses!

Looking good Ox. Great repping strength with that ROM bro!

Nice work Ox; definitely a huge ROM. When you bench in a shirt do you use a higher rack height? You were around the midpoint of you bench stroke in the rack.

Thanks everybody.

Yeah, when in a shirt I definitely raise the rack. It doesn't make much of a difference with light-ish weight with a good lift off.

Easily. I bet I have room for 10+ boards when Im at lockout.

Damn Dude, Thats a hell of a long stroke. Most guys would just dump the bench and become a deadlift specialist lol. Nice work.

Thanks. I would become a deadlift specialist, but I love squatting too much. Actually, I don't give a crap about my long stroke ( anymore ), I love benching too.

Id say overall your form is good...but looks like your geting about 0 leg drive...have you tired different feet postions? can you tuck your feet back...this will help you arch some....or if the hips ant having it with ur age maybe a wider feet out father like paul keys....and i would raise the racks even for raw stuff...but thats just me...Iv tweaked my bicep before with a rack that low

what work are you doing off the chest?

Lately all raw max effort training I've been doing to the chest. Sometimes I do flat bench for reps, like the video I posted, after the max effort work, that's the only time I've been using boards lately ( since a couple months ago, I decided that I was doing too much board work raw ).
