Amazing! When Mendleson has him in the air he does look really small. I guessing it's the angle and the way the shirt has his arms. On the bench it didn't look like a 4 inch press or some unusually small ROM. Either way it's a amazing lift.

Wow! That might be the most impressive bench I've evr seen when you take into account bodyweight, perfect execution, and downright dominating the weigh. Amazing accomplishment.

I've watched the video of that bench a dozen or more times now. Every single time I come away even more impressed. I know I've already commented, but it bears repeating - what a masterful bench!

I got to train with Jason Coker and Brian Schwab one time at Orlando Barbell. Jason is a really good guy, funny and very modest for a world class lifter! I didn't get to see him bench but I deadlifted with him (and outpulled him!) but they were saying I missed a big bench workout a couple days before where he was doing 850 to boards or something like that... Anyway, crazy strong dude and nice too! Very impressive bench!!!

The best part is that he doesn't leave any doubt. It's real and it's fantastic.

That was a crazy strong lift!

My thought watching this lift was I cant believe how much he tucks his elbows in the bottom. I know you are supposed to tuck, but that was crazy! I didnt think he could come out of the bottom with his arms tucked that hard....he got them back out though and killed it.

Congrats Jason!

He is short. About 5' 4" or so. To me that makes what he does even more impressive. He was a 198'er when I saw him hit over 800 at the APF Texas State meet a couple years ago. That was after he squatted 900. If he could pull, he'd easily have the all time record at 198. He's coming off a ruptured disk, as well. Amazing. Good guy too. Very nice and down to earth.

Bench8, when Jason first started coming up to Big Iron in Omaha he didn't tuck very much, just the necessary amount, I know because I did the same. Rick stresses tucking the elbows and tucking them hard. The important aspect about when and how to tuck is timing the tuck.

Anyways, technique is so critical in the shirt that pointing things out like this can give people ideas of what to look for and learn.
