Every video that I have seen of someone benching with chains, the chains never come all the way off the ground. I benched the first time with them today. I set it up so tha the chains come off the ground. Is there a certain way that is better or does it not even matter
If they came up off the ground, how much were they deloading at the bottom of the bench?
If the chains come off the ground, they tend to swing around a lot more, making it a much more difficult lift.

It depends on what your goal is for the use of the chains.
If you want them to be more of a stability training tool, then you want them all the way off the ground
If you want them to be used more as accomodating resistance - you want them mostly deloaded at the bottom

ok. so, my chains are 50 pounds of resistance total. If they come up off the ground I am getting all 50 pounds of resistance? If they stay on the ground is it mor or less resistance than the 50 pounds?
