So Dammsilly and I were in the Mall, and stopped in the GNC to get a protein bar and
some glutamine. We strike up a conversation as we are paying with a guy sitting down
next to the cash register. Claims he is an ex-football player and lifts a lot. Well, the
guy IS pretty big, probably 6'4" and 300 or so, but it's hard to tell as he has on a big
winter coat (its Minnesota). Says he "squats raw mid-5s for reps" and 405x5 raw on
the bench last week. Yea, OK. Works our at the local LA Fitness....not your normal place
to get strong. So, we invite him over, show him how
to box squat for the first time, and he works up to this after about 5 sets:

WOW.

Turns out he did play football for Minnesota State Mankato for a couple of years, but
dropped out. He is all of 20, and looking for some way to "compete at something".

WOW.

Wow big dude for only 20. Thats cool you guys added a new lifter to your crew. Football players are some of the hardest working SOBS in sports
