Going to fabricate my own GHR. I need ideas on how to construct the knee pad. I thought about asking elitefts to see if I can buy a replacement knee pad for their econo GHR, thoughts anyone?

Cut a piece of plywood to be the base of the pad...run some carriage bolts through it so you can mount the finished pad to your frame...use a router to cut some big circles in 3/4" plywood...cut them in half...glue and screw them to your base...get some carpet foam padding and cut pieces to drape over the top...get some vinyl from a Joanne's Fabric type place and wrap the finished product as neatly as possible.
I've got a York GHR and have been thinking about building fixed pads to replace the roller pads it came with...not real sold on the plan above mainly because I don't have confidence that the vinyl wrapping would come out real well, but this is the best I've come up with.

I have the full GHR from Legend and it is solid. Getting the pad and then constructing the base wouldn't be a bad idea.
