Ok guys i'm new to powerlifting. I lifted a little in high school for sports but nothing major. I just started about 6 weeks ago at a great gym. I squat 585 raw but cannot get over 455 on deadlift. I'm being told my problem is my butt does not stay down. Once i start to come up with the weight my butt instantly raises and it turns into all back. How can I fix this problem?Thanks.

I do not have a vid yet. I will see if I can get one. But like i said. I am a bigger guy and am having a problem keeping my but down and forcing my hips to the bar. It turns into almost being a straight leg deadlift.

Look up,think about pushing your feet through the floor instead of standing up. Work on your set-up,how far away from your shins is the bar before you bend down and take your grip.
