Does over-spiking your insulin or spiking your insulin at unnecessary times promote fat storage/gain? Or is that irrelevant when looking at the big picture of calories in vs calories out? e.g. If I get ample amounts of protein/fat and stay at a calorie deficit/maintenance level while lifting heavy, I can technically spike my insulin all I want with sugar and I will not store fat, correct?
