View Full Version : Leaving fruit in shake for hours

Any problem with using frozen blueberries as a sort of ice cube in my protein shake letting it keep the drink cooler for a few hours? Seems like a strange question but i know creatine isnt good to keep in liquid for long maybe the vitamin c or something in the fruit is bad for the protein i dont know... im betting theirs no issue but if anyone knows of one let me know

HAHAHA, weird question. Yes, bluesberries are a good srouce of ice.

i already put ice in by the time i get to the shake its melted... so i started tossing in a bunch of frozen blueberries..they keep the shake cold and as they get soft they actually add some sweetness to it

No, there should be no problem whatsover in terms of "rot" as long as its not kept out long enough to spoil (>4hrs). I imagine the gooey blueberries feel kind of disgusting as they roll down your throat though. lol
