Been a little while since I posted some videos, so here is a set from my 5x5 bench and a set from my deadlifts. I remember when I first hit a 280lb bench max, I was so happy, and now I can probably do it for 9-10 reps. The 5x5 this week was a piece of cake.

I only do 3 sets of deadlifts now since they fry my lower back for squats.

Its been inspiring to watch your progression bud. Keep at it, and thanks again for sharing!

Thanks :)

I went through my old posts and found that I benched 280x1 around September of 2008... So roughly that's like a year and 6 months and now I can rep it for 10 reps. My bench always sucked, nice to see it moving along again.

From what I've seen, you've probably made the most amount of progress in terms of strength and size out of anyone on this site. You're a huge inspiration! That kind of progress for your bench in a year and 6 months is unreal. How much overall weight did you gain in that same time frame?

Looking back at another old thread, I was 181.3lbs on 9/18/08. Hit 225lbs for the first time on 6/27/09 and have been around there since. While I haven't put on any more weight my strength has continued to fly up though so I'm content with that. I could probably gain some more mass but at this point I think it's better to cut a bit first, just to give my body a break.

I remember posting that comparison thread when I weighed 180lbs and thinking I was finally starting to look big. Now I look at it and I look tiny :D

Thanks guys, hearing comments like that is what pushes me to go through with a workout even when I feel like skipping it. Like with squats last night, I fell asleep and woke up 30 minutes past my normal start time, but I went down in my groggy, pissed off state and got to work anyway.

Neither of the written ones most people use... I just pick the weight and try to get 5 sets of 5, if I can't do it I try next week. If I can, I add 5lbs and continue. I don't do the percentage based crap, just lift the same weight until I get all 25 reps in a given session.
