View Full Version : Two suit reviews

After I graduate college, I will only have about a month before a contest to learn a suit; I have the titan velocity sumo and the metal viking v-type squater to which I will be competing solo in the deadlift. Can any one offer/suggest pointers for one or both of these suits as a user manual/guide. I have no experience with any such suit, but have studied numerous tapes of many very good deadlifters and aim to model myself after: Jarmo Virtanen http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwP_888Hv-Q and Chris Duffin http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZA3b1NJ3-0

Such ideas include:

how high to wear the suit in the crotch? (riding up issues)
shoulder strap placement (distance from neck as well as should I pull the straps forward in doing so have the butt portion higher or should I have the straps pull back and have the crouch even more ride up)?
problems with a suit? (ie pulls you forward etc)
and anything and everything you can think of- that may not be known

for deadlift I always like my suit up as high as possible... but everything you asked is just a matter of personal opinion...... it's different for everyone.

why not try them both out and see what you like better?
