I looked up this guy on google and found some pictures of him when he is scary lean (http://www.simplyshredded.com/shredded-alberto-nunez-interview.html).

Be, if you get close to being that sliced, you're gonna win for sure.

Never know who will show. If this years competition is comparable to last years (http://www.rockysfitness.com/steel-valley-classic/2009-results/)... then yes :)

What class would you be? Even the light-heavy's don't look as proportional as you in terms of upper/lower body.

How tall are you?

What is your bodyfat in these pics? If I had to guess, I would say 10%-ish? You are lean but not "vein-ee".

Care to post your measurements?

Waist (abdomen and Illiac), chest, bicep, thigh, calf, neck, forearm (straight, fist clenched).

5'8 3/4"
BF is between 11.5-12.5%.
Last time I took measurements was 4-25, so I'm definetly due to recheck. But 11 days ago I measured

Waist - 32 5/8, (-7/16), (-2 7/8)
Neck - 15 1/8, (same), (-1 1/4)
Arm - 16 5/16, (-1/16), (-13/16)
Chest - 44 1/2, (same), (-3/8)
Glute - 38 3/4, (+1/8), (-2 1/2)
Thigh - 25 3/4, (+3/8), (-1/2)
Calf 15 1/8 (-1/16), (-1/4)

First set of paranthetical numbers are the loss or gain since the reading prior to that (which was 9 days prior) and the second set is loss or gain in relation to the start of my diet (which was 54 days prior).

I'll take some new ones probably tomorrow morning.

Your estimated 167 LBM is really impressive for your height. Your measurements are great for your height and bodyfat%.

What bodyfat% do you have to cut to for the competition?

I hope you continue to update. I would be very interested how much LBM you lose when you cut to really low bodyfat%.

Also interested to see how far your measurements shrink.

Thanks.

Thanks man, I want to see an honest 5%. As in when you look at a decent natural show and see the winners, they're in the 5% range. Hopefully very litle lbm loss. And that's pretty much impossible to accurately measure without being very accurately measured for bodyfat both before and after (IE dunk tested). Going off my guestimations really unfortunately doesn't tell us much.

Not expecting too big of shrink on the measurement next reading. A big reason is because my diet coach has increased my carbs, and since then I feel both fuller (muscularly) and smoother (just water I imagine).

I update in my journal (linked in my signature) if you wanna follow along a little closer.

Did you test your BF? Your number looks high to me. I'd be surprised if you are over 10

I take regular caliper readings at the chest, lower ab, and subprailaic just to track drop. But no, I don't do all the sites and punch them into the equation. I may have been mildly modest with my guestimation, but that's some pretty good light right there. In pretty poor light I look every bit of 12-13%

It doesn't really matter. Noone is going to clip you guys on stage. I just think you are further along thank you think. For frame of reference here was Adam @ 7%. No way you are 5% off of him.

I remember seeing those pics. Yeah I'd have pegged him at 8.5% so maybe I am a little off...

But you're right, doesn't matter. I still have the same journey ahead of me irregardless of what a caliper says...

It looks like he has a garden hose implanted under his bicep. I think he has more veins showing in his chest than I have in my entire body.

Wow 9 weeks out you look insane man, you almost got ready too early!!

What did you do to lean out so much from 24 weeks out to 9 weeks out? And did you lose any strength doing it?

^ Thanks guys. I appreciate the motivation you all inspire.

Greemah - Definetly not ready too early. Wish I has some more weeks here. OCB show 4 weeks later I'll likely follow the first one with though.

7 weeks out today. Smooth in these. Look much better in the middle of the night and early AM. Nevertheless:

I'll say it again-- great upper back thickness. Your traps are just huge. I'm definitely hoping to build my back up to that level!

I hope you're not going to wear posing trunks that show that much glutes! You really hicked up those boxers eh?

Behemoth
07-07-2010, 03:30 PM
Funny you should ask that. I'm super uncomfortable with my glutes and didn't want to wear trunks that were high cut. Bertos opinion was that with the proportions I carry in areas, specifically that my delts are a strong point that I go with the flex cut found here (http://www.jagware-posingsuits.com/)... And I trust him, so I ordered them... so while they're not quite as high as I hiked the skippies for that weeks check in... they're definetly still gonna take some getting comfortable in for sure!

Didn't know that much went in to posing trunks.

I know it's part of the sport and all, and that their sole reason for being cut like that is to show off conditioning and lines in the quads and glutes better, but damn do I wish that we'd go back to the Schwarzenegger-era trunks and leave the sparkles and crap to the figure competitors.

That being said, however, I'm sure I'll be happy when the day comes where I'm big and ripped enough to be thinking about competing and buying my first set of posing trunks.
