Here is a picture of me now 18/05/2010 at 140lb and height 5,10"

Hi ppl am going to be doing starting strengh program soon once i get a job because i just been made redundant. At the minute i am just doing a full body workout with my barbell and adding 5-10lb a week. I have lifted for years but only with lightweight like 20kg - 30kg on my full body workout.

I did starting strengh about 2 years ago for like 3 months and I went from 133lb to 161lb in them 3 months but i wasint following strict diet. I was drinking gallon of whole milk per day and all sorts of junk food and creatine while lifting and i bulked up good and felt alot stronger then now but the problem was i looked like i was pregnent, my belly was big so i guess my bf% was high as *****.

Then i started boxing for like 2 year because i was getting sick of my belly being big (sorted the belly right out!!) Av just stopped boxing now as i want to get big as am sick of having skinny looking arms and want to finish boxing for the time being.

**Anyhow enough of my life story :drooling: I just want to know how i can bulk quite fast to 180lb like in a year without gaining loads of body fat???**

Here the pic of me now before before i start ss in a couple of months. But al keep on progressive overloading on my barbell till gym time..:) Tell us what you think:hello:

Next pic update in 6 months.

p.s dont worry about the stare i was just concentrating on my camera lol..:evillaugh:

I always hate it when no one replies to my posts, so here ya go.

Yes, if you eat a lot of junk food you will gain a lot of fat. When you try bulking fast, you want to focus more on nutrient dense food. No chips, soda, cheese cake, etc. You just cant eat like that if you don't want to look pregnant. You probably gained all your weight in your gut because your workout rotine wasn't intense enough to burn all them callories.

I'm bulking, but I have a budget. If you have the cash you want to focus on eating lean meats, and complex carbs. So try to eat roughly 1.5-2 times as many grams of protein as you weigh.

On a given day I usually eat:

Cereal

Protein shake

the dinner they serve in the cafeteria at work

5 boiled eggs, turkey sandwich, 24 oz of milk

then before I go to bed more milk and yogurt

My diet is high in fat, but my workouts are intense enough to keep me from getting fat in my gut, ass, etc. My diet is high in protein, but not extreme. I've been eating like this for the past year and have gone from 190lbs to 215 and still look pretty good. If your serious about building muscle you need to be serious about your routine. You will want to work out 5 days a week and get a routine going that will focus on your major body parts. Doing a full body workout ever other day won't be as productive as focusing on your whole body over a weeks period of working on your bodyparts.

thx for reply.. Yeh av found a gym so starting the starting strengh 2moz so thats sorted now..
I'd say im pretty strong now at 140lb so if i lift heavy and eat like loads of eggs, semi skinned milk and lean meats and get like 2900kcals per day focusing on high protein low fat i should bulk up quite fast do you think with having a nice foundation to go off??I just dont want to look like big momma again in the mid section:D
Also how much lb should i be looking at adding per week??
And last question i it easy to dirty bulk up and then cut which i suppose would be faster or should i clean bulk up but prob take ages??? I dont mind lookin like big momma if i can shave a few months off my target date..
Sorry for the 101 questions
