I was wondering if anyone on here is a discus thrower, or has trained discus throwers and would know some specific exercises for them. Specifically for their explosiveness. I figured basic jumping, but im not sure.

Zane sucks at Discus anyways. He should probably work on getting strong more than anything else.

Except zane doesnt suck. Hes probably gonna get second at cossa, which isnt "suck", it might not be super pro now, but he could improve quite a bit for grade 12.

Have you seen the kids at COSSA? They're jokes. COSSA is not nearly as prestigious for Track and Field. It's actually sort of sad.

Not really sure what's going on here between you two, but dial it back a notch.

To get back on topic, I have indeed worked with several discus throwers. Getting their squat up was a must. Discus throwers need to have a very strong core, hips, glutes and hams to create the necessary amount of force to throw the disc.

*this is outside of working on technique of course.
