I am thinking of trimming the hair on my legs a little, but I wasn't sure how it can be done and what happens after. I don't want to fully shave my legs, I just want the hairs to be shorter, just a trim. Could I use a one of those hair cutting razors with the number settings on my legs, like #1 is really short, #2 is a little longer, etc. ?

Once I do trim it though, will the hair grow back longer and thicker? Or does this only happen when you fully shave the hairs?

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place by the way.

Thanks in advance.

Hair will never grow backer longer or thicker. The hair follicle itself has no idea of what is ahead of it or what has been cut off. It will always grow at it's own predetermined natural pace. Trimming it like you said would be no problem at all.

Chase is right. Old wives tales die hard, I guess.

It just seems thicker becasue it doent have the thin tip on the end anymore.

shave it off or try using neet or nair or something . . . and then just wait for a week; it'll grow back and be there.. but short

easier and much faster than mucking about trying to trim it; so you avoid public showering for a week or so... no big. :D
