I'm thinking of purchasing one of these things. I'm just wondering which brand has the best quality, but is still relatively affordable. I'm lookin to spend about 150$.

Nah, 185-200 could get you something quite decent.

What? 250 bucks. One of my friends got one for like 80 bucks Canadian. Albeit, it wasn't the best quality.

I got this little Samsung number that's about the size of a pager for 150. That bastard's convenient as hell.

I meant you just answered your own question.

If you want a losuy mp3 player then pay 80 bucks, if you don't then I'd say you're likely to at least pay 200. If you know better than you shouldn't be asking people.

I'm developing a circuit that will allow you to play MP3's (or anything else) on your computer and listen to them through your stereo (component based) or through an open FM channel. Anyone interested in something like that?

Yes. Its called the "sound card."

They already have that. It's a little receiver that plugs into the sound card..then you have another receiver by the stereo...it transfers the info and plays the songs on the stereo.

That's probably because while asking, I was doing research and looking at a lot of different models. ;)

Nike have a nicely designed one that is useful for joggin particularly, as it straps to the arm and of has no moving parts as is the nature of the MP3 player. Trouble is that the sound quality apparently isnt the best and the memory is comparatively small.
