Starting to play around with different plyo work on a regular basis

1) When doing jumps starting off seated, how high roughly do you have the box? (below parallel, right around parallel, high... doesn't matter?)

2) Do you "rock off the box" or jump from completely static? I've been rocking back slightly with my feet off the ground, then slamming them down and trying to pop up immediately

3) Anyone wanna throw out some moderately decent #'s for different types of jumps for a >250lber?

I have the box I'm sitting on at parallel or slightly below

- I have my athletes and myself rock back and slam my feet off the ground. When people try and do it from a static position it often turns into a standing jump because you stand up before you begin to jump (by force because you have to develop some momentum.)

- I don't know how these measure up to others, but I've jumped onto a 36" box while holding onto 50lb DB's, a 24" box from a standing position while holding onto 80lb DB's and onto a 42" box from a seated position (no weight)

Jumping is pretty easy once you figure out the technique and get your hip strength up.
