View Full Version : Cycling in high bar squats?

I train raw and I'm currently on 5/3/1, but i was thinking of doing a few cycles of high bar squats (though not ATG). I know coan was a fan of these in the off season, but I was wondering if anyone else did them for accessory? I feel like they would help a lot with my lower back strength, which is where I'm weak.

We have been doing them after deads. 5 sets of 10 or so. Weight doesn't need to be super heavy on these to get something out of them. Most I did last training cycle was 315 for 8. Yesterday did 275 as the top set for 10 and then dropped back down to 135 for the last one.

I did the same thing as Joey; I did 3 sets of 8-10 after deadlifting as well. Seemed to help quad/low back strength.
