just read a pretty interesting article on carb back loading
Carb back-loading (http://articles.elitefts.com/articles/nutrition/carb-back-loading/)

was wondering if anyone here uses that method and if they had positive results from it? to me it would be easier to just carb load after training than limiting myself carbs all day long.

I like the protocol.

"Thought of in this way, only skeletal muscle and fat cells matter, as most other tissue—nervous system cells, kidneys, the liver, the small intestines, etc—can use carbs with or without insulin. Fat and muscle respond stronger to insulin levels in the morning than the evening"

He's implying that a muscle cell can't use glucose without insulin and that is false. (Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.) He then later says it "can" post workout. I think he's a bit off on his facts. Post workout things like GLUT4 move closer to the exterior of the cell etc but those glucose transporters are not insulin dependent.
