Floor presses are my top assistance exercise for bench. I've had great success with them. Theres one problem though, my right shoulder always hurts when I do them. The reason I think this happens is because I don't arch when doing floor presses. I'm not sure, but are you allowed to arch and keep your shoulder blades together? Right now I just lye on the floor and press kinda bber style, no tucking.

I think everything but your arch is the problem in that whole statement.

So then is arching ok in the floor press. I've read in many places that you shouldn't arch.

no I mean your not tucking or setting up with stable shoulders.

Agreed... Keep everything tight just like while benching!
