(You can fast forward to about 45sec in)
I think it looks pretty damn good especially for being the 5th one in a series. I watched another one that had the producer commenting and he said it's impossible to compete with Arnold so he just tries to give the audience something they won't be expecting. I think he had a pretty good idea. I'm definately gonna see it in theatres. Supposed to come out July 24th.
And this cracked me up:

I want to see this, but I've learned to not trust anything coming out of Hollywood anymore. I consider myself a movie buff, some may say a fanatic, though I tend to be more about classic films. Especially MGM movies from the 30s and 40s. But unlike film snobs, I do love a good, fun, trashy kill fest like this. You gotta go into it with the right mind set. It ain't "Citizen Kane." Hell, it's not even gonna be "Predator." But hopefully we'll, at the very least, be on par with "Predator 2" and not down to the level of "Alien Vs Predator 2." But I can't lie... I love all the Alien and Predator movies. :)

I'll watch and enjoy just about any movie involving zombies, aliens (the series not actually aliens), and predator.

Oh, crap. You just gave Hollywood a boner. A zombie bites a Predator which is then impregnated by an Alien. And the wackiness ensues. Why don't we just let Uwe Boll direct so this can be a true masterpiece?
:D
i'm sure it'll get crap reviews (rottentomatoes.com) but i'll most likely see it in the theaters. The original Predator with Arnold in it was a cool movie.

I know that the trailers and previews don't always give us the best idea if the movie is good or not, but I think it looks pretty good. AVP2 did suck. Crappy plot and it was too dark throughout the entire movie. I'm expecting this to be better (in my opinion) than Predator 2 but not quite as good as the first one. But then again, it's nearly impossible to outdo the first in a series if you ask me, just because the first one was new and unique when you first watched it.

I am still undecided about this one. I loved the original Predator everything after there was ehhhhhhh. I do like Roberts work and with him in control I do have high hopes for this movie. The international trailer looks better than the american version.

I can't decide if Adrian Brody is going to be a good action hero or not.

Yeah I'm with you on that. Predator 2 was meh, AVP was okay, and AVP2 was just awful. Can you put up the international trailer for me? That was just the one that I saw.

Yeah especially since he's supposed to be one of the best killers on our planet.

I saw this last night. Adrian Brody's performance was surprisingly good in my opinion but the movie itself was a big let down.

Just got back from it. Meh. All Rodriguez's hype about how its gonna be the "Predator" movie that Predator fans have been waiting for is BS. It wasnt bad, but it wasnt anything that Id get hyped to see in the theater.
Rent it.
Not really much action. Not really many great shots of the Predators. Only one battle scene of any substance. Sadly NO suspense and little thrill. I took my old man who has only seen the first one (years ago), and he commented on how the first one was much more enjoyable to watch. This was more of a modern day knockoff, and not in the good way like the new Batman series is.
YMMV.
i saw it on Saturday. pretty decent waste of a couple hours, but definitely not as good as the original. it could have used some more action. the first half of the movie moved pretty slow. i have been very disappointed with this summer's movies as a whole. i am hoping inception is awesome....by all early accounts it appears to be great.

So true. Summer movies this year have sucked. It always seems to skip a year in terms of summer greatness, however. Its like every other year we have a bunch of crazy movies (iron man, the dark knight last year) and then kind of a weak offering the next summer.
Inception's gonna be sick. I'm more pumped for the idea of Nolan doing a Bond movie. Craig and Nolan would be an amazing combo.
Looks good, I'll definitely see it.

no way!
I watched about 30 minutes of a bad quality bootleg the other night......it didn't appear to be going anywhere fast. I'll be vacationing at the beach next week.......I'll probably venture out to a theater and watch it just to kill some time.

it is a bit slow at the beginning

Really? The beginning wasn't too upbeat, but I didn't feel that it was slow. I thought the storyline had some good ideas to it but it could have been done better. And I think that the acting was a little lacking but I think that might have just been because the script seemed kind of dull and frank. Good action IMO though. I think it was worth going to see in theatres, and I'd probably go again if someone asked me to. Kind of a crappy ending, but atleast that means the second one should have a good story line to pick up off of. Figures that Hollywood would be more worried about making more money than just making a good movie.

Saw this movie this weekend and I liked it. I went in already knowing that this would never be better than the original and just enjoyed the movie for what it was. I liked the fact that they used the music from the first movie and the predator mask that Fishburn has is the same mask the original predator wore. Yes it could have used some more action but I still thought they did good job with it.
Here is an interview with Robert Rodriguez that explains why this movie was played a little safe so to speak.
In an interview with IGN FilmForce, Robert Rodriguez has ‘confirmed’ that they are looking at a sequel to Predators.
“[The studio] said, ‘Let’s do some other ones. What other story ideas do you have?’” says the filmmaker. “Because it was like, let’s test out the market with this one. They really wanted it to be pretty contained, pretty scaled-back. They didn’t want to put too many of the ideas into it that we could save for a second one. So we could see what the appetite was, because the bigger movie would actually be what comes following that. That kind of sets up a new storyline, new location and world, and then you can really go crazy from there.”
Rodriguez says he has “an idea” of what he will do with the sequel. The next step, he says, is probably to have other writers come in and pitch different versions of his basic premise, along with new concepts. And then, as with the first Predators, he’ll pick the best one. As for whether or not he would direct the sequel…
“I don’t know,” he laughs. “I think I have too many people wanting me to do Sin City 2 first!”
And what would the next Predators be titled? Predators 2? More Predators? Predators's?
"I don't know what it's called!" laughs Rodriguez.
