Welp, its about that time of year. Bulking season! Right now I'm hovering around 173-175 I'm 5'10 20 years old. Even though I'm a powerlifter this time around I'm going to focus a lot more on hypertrophy. I plan to say relatively lean all the way to 200lbs(Abs visible when flexed) I do not dirty bulk. Man this is going to suck :( Its takes an ungodly amount of food for me to gain weight

Here I currently am.

Good quads. Does the bulk have a length duration or just however long it takes?

It will take about 5-6 months. I will update this thread when I hit 180 then every 5lbs.

Good luck man, looking forward to seeing the results. How much lean mass did you gain after your last bulk?

I'll be starting my first next Saturday, after a nice week off.

I know this will get deleted, but did you know that Clarence Ross was 5'9" and competed at 198 lbs @ 8.4% bodyfat?

If you are natural, your goals are lofty to say the least.

i dont know what you're trying to prove with your arguments but who gives a **** what Clarence Ross competed at? Everyone is different. I personally know black guys who can gain faster naturally than I have on steroids. What is your point?? Do you have some kind of fetish with old school bodybuilding? You didnt know Clarence Ross when he competed, nor did you know Frank Zane or any of the other greats that were bodybuilders so long ago that you've posted up on this board and claim were on stuff.

I'm confused by this post. I've already been 197lbs while staying below 15% I have more mass this time around too, yea I did that all natty as well. How does this make my goals lofty lol? I'm only 20 I have much bigger goals ahead of me.

r2d2 here thinks every good physique that came out of the 50's and 60's was roided up and he compares everyone (you in this case) to these guys.

I think it may strike a nerve with some of us when somewhat newer lifters define a goal that has taken some of us many years as something they can achieve in 5 or 6 months. Most people really have no comprehension of just how much of a gain of 5lbs of true dry muscle is. When thomas reaches his goal of 200lbs in 6 months he will have at best 4-5lbs of actual muscle. What a lot of lifters don't realize is that is actually quite good. Follow a (natural) competitive bodybuilders journey from one year to the next and you'll realize that 6-7lbs of stage weight in a year is huge and probably even more than many will add. I think that was the point r2473 was attemping to make, it may have just been less than optimally expressed.

VERY interested to see your progress. I too have to eat a fukton (and consistently) to see any weight gain whatsoever. Good luck on your goals. What's your split lookin' like during this bulk?

Looking very good bro!!

You are very strong for your age/size, don't take this the wrong way (it is a compliment to your strength) but you are a little smaller than I thought.

A lot of good things ahead...

BTW Clarence Ross is a Girl and no one gives a **** about him.

No not at all, I do look smaller than what I weigh due to my pelvic/hip frame. I also hold a lot of mass in my glutes.

Yeah I have a lot of weight in the hips/glutes also, better than having a massive upperbody with no arse ha ha.

Large hips and glutes are also superior for athletic performance.

Your weight still boggles me. I fully believe you, it's just wild how different people can look with given relative stats. I see lots of new muscle, especially in the legs, chest and shoulders.
