DL suit w/ velcro?

Hey guys,

Just had velcro straps added to my Velocity DL suit... I've pulled mostly raw and 1-ply but never used a suit w/ velcro.

How tight do the straps need to be to get the most out of the suit? The suit is already extremely tight and very tuff to reach the bar but I did get some good pop off the floor w/ it before adding velcro! I went from 220's to 242's and I was hoping the velcro would allow a little more room for set-up on the bar. Thanks for your input!

You want to get the straps as tight as possible. Almost painful. I have a metal suit that took me awhile to break in. The smaller the betterm

You are just going to have to play with the straps to figure out what you want. It's a fine line between tight and too tight to where you can't reach the bar or you can't arch properly.

As tight as poss whilst still being able to keep position as Adam said.

It's a case of trial and error. It's great being able to adjust the straps though.

+1 with Adam. If the suit rounds you over, then you're going to deadlift less in it.

Thanks for the replies guys... At least I'll have the option of adjusting the straps now so it dosent take a minute to reach the bar!

- Nick, yeah bro, 242's and beyond for me it looks like. I'm walking around at about 250 now and at 6-2" I think I carry it fairly well. 275's are not out of the question as long as I feel good!
