Rye bread base ingredient is bleached wheat flour, flour is the main ingredient in white bread and that's what makes it not so great right? Wheat bread is good because it has the whole wheat germ or whatever in it right? So should I stay away from rye bread?
Depends on your goals. Are you cutting/bulking/maintaining?
When during the day were you going to eat this bread and with what?

I'm cutting and have been doing it successfully, but just wondering if a slice or 2 throughout the day is a bad idea. Probably one in the morning with egg whites, lean turkey and mustard all toasted(mmm).
If it fits your plan it's fine. The fact that you're eating it with protein will bring down any insulin spiking and slow digestion. Since it's in the morning there are absolutely no worries about going to bed soon after. All in all, if it fits your macros/cals...it's fine. :)
