So I was set to go heavy today and make my first attempt at 1000+ in the squat....... on my 2nd to last set ( 931) I put a rib out. I've done it before, and just had the chiro put it back together. I called after he closed and he's not in again until monday...... has anyone got any ideas to get this thing to stop hurting. I'm sure someone on here has put one out in the past.

and FYI: I sucked it up and took the 1003..... only to get called 1-2" high.... damn.

Nice work going 1003 even if it was high.

Ice and laying in a position that doesn't hurt and not moving much is all I can think of other than anti inflams etc.

I have done this plenty of times. If it is out more to the back side I have used a piece of 4-6 in. pvc pipe and rolled across it and actually got it to pop back. No promises, but it worked for me.

I have this problem as well. It will bug me intermittently throughout the week, what helps most is foam rolling, ice, nsaid's and osteopathic manipulative treatment.
