awesome poundage, and very impressive, but there is no way that is even remotely close to parallel. that was at least 4-5 inches high.

That squat was high, we all know it. Rob told me right after he finished it that he knew he didn't get deep enough.

It's still a training video of 800 + 240 lbs of chain on a guys back with him wearing only knee wraps and a belt. I want to see anyone else do that.

there is no doubt about that Rob is one of the strongest men in the world and is always putting up impressive videos of moving some very serious weight. i just made a comment on what i saw, there is nothing wrong with constructive criticism. i just notice that on a lot of his videos he is high. if he is moving 1200 lbs or 225 lbs its still high.

i dont mean to come off sounding like a form nazi. but it is what it is.

as long as he keeps making depth in meets that's all that matters!

This is why the front judge doesn't judge depth..only the side guys.

very strong, no doubt, but not a raw squat

how is it not raw? because he has wraps and a belt? i think 90% of the people here will agree that raw is anything not suited. belt and wraps are more for safety than anything. dont know many people putting that much weight on their back that wouldnt want some safety.

I consider belt and wraps raw. So do a few federations, so who's to say.

Could care less about depth, raw, or any of that other BS.... the man did a box squat with 800 lbs + 240 lbs of chain in training. F' me but that is impressive!

He hits depth in meets as Ryan said. I won't worry about what depth he gets to in training.

That was a grinder Rob!

Doesn't really seem like you can call it a box squat when you....never make contact with the box.

Either way, impressive as hell. Just seems like if you want to box squat above parallel, you'd just add something onto the box to make it that height.
