i train at a commercial gym and when i try to get tight and get a good arch the bench is slippery and i end up just pushing myself off the bench. what can i do to make it so its sticky?

If it has a decent grip on the bar maybe try some chalk or buy some gloves.

Put chalk on the bench pad. Works like a charm. I have to do it every set, but I dont slip at all.

Chalk or stickum'... If your gym allows it. If not get out of the fluff gym! JK :)

I spray some stickum on the bench pad and it works fine for me.

stick'um spray works well. chalk is a cheaper alternative and readily available. dont forget to put some on your back if exposed (or back of the bench shirt).

You can also throw a thick terry towel on the bench and secure down below your torso with a bungee cord. Sometimes a guy just isn't in the mood to have sticky on his back ;)
