What day would it be most beneficial to do tricep death on?

What is your current split?

If you have a 'bench accessory' day then that would probably be the best place.

If you train with max effort/dynamic effort days I'd do it after your max effort lift on max effort day. It can make you pretty sore and hurt your recovery.

I think there are different ways to do it, but when we've done it we did this: Take 50% of your raw bench or your bodyweight and do 5 reps on each board. Start with the 4 or 5 board and then take away a board every 5 reps. So you do 5 reps on the 4 board, 5 reps on the 3 board, all the way down to your chest. Then go back up the boards 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. Usually we use a close grip to hit the triceps. Rarely does anyone make it back up the boards before failing.

It is just a tool in the tool box. Not something to do all the time. Maybe once a month? I don't do it that often, but I will if I need something different for a workout.

+1

I prefer doing the "Triceps Hell" on the DE day. I tried it on a ME and felt it terribly bad.

Yep, after max effort.
