if you regulally consume say 2000 calories a day.. to follow the rules of cutting, you must consume 500 calories less than you normally would.. that means youd have to consume 1500 calories to cut efficiently...

my question is, which of the following options should somebody in this situation choose:

A: consume 1500 calories a day over 5 meals..

B: uppen their calories to what is the recomended (normal) range for a cutting diet, 2100-2200

There is no normal cutting caloric range...it depends on your bodyweight, metabolism and activity level. The amount of calories you cut out, just makes you lose weight quicker or slower...Even if you took out 200 calories from maintenance..you'd still lose weight, just not as quickly as if you took out 500 calories.
