Derek Poundstone showed up and took their money.

Can't wait for this first person to come in this thread and mock him for using straps haha...
He's powerful as all hell. Absolutely ridiculous.

He did it in under a minute too. Less than 2 seconds per rep. That is nuts.

Damn, that was impressive. Doubt I could match that with 135.

One of my friends also competed, he actually won the Bro's VS Pro's deadlift challenge the last time and this time around pulled 765 lbs @ 240 lbs (Frank Domingoes). I am not really sure that Derek qualifies as a "Bro", but it is good to see a strongman take home the win.

I'm assuming that he competed as a bro then? either way he is my favorite strength athlete or actually any athlete for that matter. I seen in marunde he posted he was gonna try to make this event and I figured he could take it all..this guy is such a beast

Derek's an animal. Great job. Does anyone know which female athlete won?

Melody Melo won the max pull with 435 and Tazzie pulled 55 reps for the max reps contest.

They allow straps for the comp so Derek was just taking advantage of it. Dave Palumbo invited and worked on getting Derek to come as a draw for the event and so that people would post threads like this around the net.
I LOVE the idea of that competition and want to do something like that for WBB. I would love to hear thoughts?

I never heard of such events. Is this suppose to be some friendly competition? is it an annual event?
